Skyway Byway
This watercolor painting depicts the Skyway bridge that connects Saint Petersburg to Bradenton Florida. The road runs from urban environment to wetland to
sea grass, all the way to ocean and then back. There are places to pull off
the highway and enjoy which ever spot you prefer. People come here to fish.
The mangroves are marching out to protect the roadway from erosion. They bring with them protection for small fish, birds and mosquitoes. This is a favorite road of mine to drive.
